"As the former President and General Manager of the Buck Hill Falls company in Pennsylvania for seven years, I had the privilege of negotiating a contract with Barbara and Albert Ingetti to operate all restaurants and catering operations on and off premise at the Buck Hill Golf course and Tennis Club. The decision by our board of directors to accept that contract was the first step in a long and wonderful relationship with the Ingettis, one that continued well after my departure. When I saw my plate at yesterday's luncheon, I wondered how I was going to eat the food. I tried one bite and fell absolutely in love with the salmon. I couldn't believe it. I ate the whole thing. Needless to say, I have never cooked salmon. I was wondering if there is any possibility that you could send me the recipe? It would be wonderful to try cooking salmon you way for the first time. As we all know, dining during the season is tricky and sometimes not worth the hassle. That is why I was so pleased to see that The Club at Grandezza was hosting a Flatbread Friday Night on the Veranda. Being that this was the first attempt at this friday venue, i did not know what to expect. Chef Albert, as always, was very prepared for the 100 reservation count that was IMMEDIATELY established. I think we can all agree that Chef Albert never seem to DISAPPOINT, and this was once again a great outcome. Undecided which Flatbread to choose, i decided to order 2 (which later left me ordering a 3rd). I started with the meat lovers Supreme which was topped with pepperoni, sausage and meatballs , then proceeded over to the buffalo mozzarella MARGARITA. I can honestly tell you that I enjoyed both equally and savored every bite. In case you were wondering, i broke the tie on the 3rd and went for the Meat Lovers again. At $10.00 ++ per person, I would stack this up against any local COMPETITOR. All in the privacy of your own home (sort to speak). I topped this of with a house cabernet and my wife enjoyed a cosmopolitan , it was a perfect friday. Three flatbreads, 4 drinks and a total bill of $65. with the ability to walk home form the club, I think it's perfection. I would personally thank Executive Chef Albert for trying something new and nailing it! Well done. Let's all support the club. Stefan J.
